My first photo shoot took place at night time to insure the room that I used as a makeshift studio to be in darkness as I wanted the only source of light to be the small desk lamp I used. Due to the darkness, I had to use a longer shutter speed which meant that I had to use a tripod to prevent camera shake. I could have raised the ISO but wanted to avoid this as much as possible due to the risk of "noise".
I used both my macro lens and my Nikon kit lens. I had intended to only use the macro lens but due to inexperience with the lens, I felt that I would obtain a better selection of shots using both the macro and the lens that I had more experience with.
These are the photographs from my first shoot, I intend to edit them by cropping, removing any detail I don't wish to be there, making some of the images black and white and also changing the background colour.
